Univ.-Prof. Dr. Natalie Germann is an associate editor of Physics of Fluids. She is also a Representative Individual Member of the European Society of Rheology and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of ProcesssNet Subject Division Computational Fluid Dynamics.
Her research focuses on soft materials of industrial importance with the aim of uncovering the relationship between internal structural and macroscopic material properties and how processing can be designed or optimized to obtain desired product properties. The research approach combines thermodynamic modeling and numerical simulation with experiments.
