Percepción de los estereotipos de género asociados al uso de Internet en estudiantes de pedagogía

The existence of gender stereotypes on the Internet, and on today's Digital Society, points to the importance of influencing awareness and research with the aim of reducing this stereotyped vision and thereby promoting the scope for equitable representation and equal treatment on the Internet. A fundamental piece is to know the perception of the youth population, due to their age in learning, together with the fact that technology has become an everyday element of their life. Thus, the study focuses on students of the Pedagogy Degree of the University of Salamanca, of the subject 'Methodology of Qualitative Research', as future educators and agents of social change, who must address socio-educational situations such as the reproduction of stereotypes and biased visions, as well as raise programs and actions to minimize them. Participating students voluntarily participated in an opinion poll on gender stereotypes on the Internet. Subsequently, a hypothesis was contrasted with two main age groups, ≤20 years and >20 years, and from the research it was concluded that in the aforementioned context no relationship of dependence on opinion and age group was detected.
