Abstract
Oilseed residue / press cake; Different types of food processing wastes are available, including vegetable waste and oil residue. Within the food value chain in developed countries, the second largest losses (39%) of food occur during food manufacturing [1]. Food processing waste can occur during different stages of food pipeline, from the producer basket till consumer basket, included: Field waste, Harvesting waste, Transportation waste, Storage waste, Processing waste (our target), Package & Marketing waste and finally consumer waste. Plant Rest raw material from food production is what remains after the edible part of the plant has been removed. Oilseed residue or press cake is a plant rest raw material which is produced after pressing stage and generally used as animal feed or waste, whereas, it still is high in nutrients including protein, fibre and bioactive compounds.
