Model Order Reduction of Transient Magnetic Field Based on POD and DEIM Methods

摘要
The proper orthogonal decomposition (POD) has been widely applied to reduce the numerical computation time and memory storage requirements of the finite element. When the nonlinear problems of ferromagnetic materials are dealt in time domain, the high computational costs are needed due to the interactive process. This paper proposes to combine POD method with discrete empirical interpolation method (DEIM) to effectively deal with nonlinear transient magnetic field problems of transformer, and the calculated results are compared with the tested ones.
