A Simplified Calculation Method for Induced Lightning Overvoltage of 10 kV Overhead Lines

Abstract
In China, 10 kV distribution network lightning accidents are mainly caused by induced lightning. In the process of 10 kV overhead line lightning protection research, the most important point is the induced lightning overvoltage calculation. At present, the differential numerical calculation method based on FDTD is mainly used. However, the simulation model building process based on this method is complicated, and the computational efficiency is low, which cannot meet the needs of designers and operators for power grid. In this paper, by analyzing the main influencing factors and influencing laws, a simplified calculation method of induced lightning overvoltage based on the differential numerical calculation method of FDTD is proposed, which can quickly obtain the magnitude of the induced lightning overvoltage of the 10 kV overhead line, avoiding the complex physical simulation modeling and numerical calculation process, and greatly improving the work efficiency.
