Abstract
The ultra-high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines traverse a wide area, and their electric field environmental issues have long been a focus of public attention. Before the release of national standard GB39220-2020, it is usually required that the undistorted total electric field (assuming that the residential building does not exist) at the location of the building should not exceed 15kV/m. By the newly-issued standard, the impacts of buildings have to be considered and the electric field on balconies and platforms of buildings for the first time should be below the limit. However, no systematic study on the influences of building parameters and line parameters on the total electric field on balconies and platforms of buildings has been reported previously. In this paper, the flux tracing method is employed to calculate and analyze the distribution of total electric field on the platform of cuboid buildings, as well as the influence of building parameters (length, width, height) and line parameters (conductor height, pole separation, split spacing, splitting number),on the total electric field. The results show that length of buildings, pole separation and split spacing between sub-conductors have little effect on total electric field on the platform, while width and height of building, distance between building and center of line, line height and splitting number of bundle conductors have significant impacts on total electric field.
