Robust Resource Allocation for Symbiotic Radio Networks

Symbiotic radio (SR) has been proposed as a promising paradigm for improving spectrum efficiency and reducing energy consumption. However, most of the existing resource allocation (RA) algorithms in SR networks have considered the case with perfect channel state information. To overcome the effect of channel uncertainties and improve transmission robustness, in this paper, we study a robust RA algorithm to maximize the overall throughput for a downlink multiuser SR network, where the separated channel uncertainty model and the non-linear energy harvesting model are considered. Furthermore, based on the Lagrange dual theory and the interior point method, we propose an iterative-based RA algorithm to obtain the closed form solution of the transmit power and the suboptimal solutions of other variables. The simulation results verify that the outage probability of the proposed algorithm is reduced by 25.28% compared to the existing algorithms
