Abstract
Pulsed power loads (PPL) have been widely used in various fields, its voltage is constant and current is pulsed, which poses a potential impact to the entire power system. The conventional passive scheme requires numerous energy storage capacitors, which is unsuitable for the occasions with strict limitation on volume and weight, such as airplanes and aerospace. While for most of the active schemes, although they have reduced capacitance greatly, they also make a significate power loss. Therefore, to improve the efficiency of the active scheme, in this paper, a series voltage compensation circuit and its control strategy is introduced, and is verified by the corresponding experimental result.
