Abstract
Hybrid Active Neutral Point Clamped (ANPC) inverter has been recently considered in motor drive applications. A MPC method is proposed, which realizes the high frequency operation of SiC MOSFET and the low frequency operation of Si IGBT in three-phase hybrid ANPC three-level inverter. Thus, the switching losses is concentrated on the SiC devices, and the switching frequency of the circuit output is increased, which can reduce current harmonics. At the same time, the weighting factor between current tracking and neutral point potential is eliminated. A simulation model is established and the proposed MPC method for hybrid ANPC inverters is verified. The results show that the proposed control strategy is feasible and effective.
