摘要
Haptic devices have shown the benefits of exploring new ways to train students and professionals in different fields of knowledge. Through those devices, system user's can touch 3D objects present only in the computational environment. Therefore, systems based on haptic devices explore immersion and interaction through the realism obtained using tactile resources. However, reproducing the properties of real objects in 3D objects can be challenging. This study addresses the development and usability assessment of HaptiCAL, a system for calibrating the tactile properties of 3D objects. HaptiCAL aims to support the development of computational systems that use haptic devices from the Touch series (formerly called Phanthom) by an interactive and intuitive 3D environment. HaptiCAL was developed using the Unity 3D game engine and allows exporting values in XML format.
