This demo presents a solution to improve pest monitoring in agriculture using Internet of Things (IoT) and Computer Vision (CV) techniques. The system was specifically developed to automatically detect the whitefly pest in tomato greenhouses. It involves using low-cost cameras to capture images of pest traps and sending them to the cloud. Then, deep neural models such as R-CNN and YOLO are used to detect the Whitefly pest in yellow sticky traps. The results are accessible to farmers through a mobile app, making pest monitoring autonomous, cheaper, data-driven, and precise. The results show that combining IoT, CV, and deep models can enhance pest monitoring.
