Novel one-dimensional/two-dimensional composite films: Ag nanowires/ZnO nanowalls

Abstract
We synthesized novel Ag nanowires/ZnO nanowalls composite films successfully, which integrated the beneficial characteristics of one-dimensional Ag nanowires and two-dimensional ZnO nanowalls. And the resulting Ag nanowires/ZnO nanowalls composite films exhibited outstanding photoelectric properties and enhanced light trapping abilities. The evenly distributed and interlaced Ag nanowires/ZnO nanowalls composite structures were clearly observed. By measuring the total transmittance (TT), diffuse transmittance (DT) and sheet resistance of the composite films, it can be seen that the haze value at 550 nm is 0.26, and the sheet resistance value is 42.5 Ω/sq. These indicated that the photoelectric and light trapping properties of the Ag nanowires/ZnO nanowalls composite films were enhanced significantly compared with those of the simplex films.
