摘要
- Background: Despite the wide use and great advances of PCI procedures, complications still do occur. Stent entrapment is a rare yet a serious complication of PCI procedures. To our knowledge, this is the first report of such complication to involve the LM coronary artery following a previous LM stenting. - Case Presentation: We present a case of a 65-year-old man who suffered stent entrapment and fracture in a previously deployed LM stent during an elective PCI procedure. This complication necessitated emergency surgical intervention for retrieval of the entrapped stent. - Conclusion: This case report highlights the potential complication of PCI material entrapment after previous LM stenting.
