Abstract
With the rapid development of renewable energy generation, the uncertainty and randomness of renewable energy brings about profound influence to the conventional electrical power system operation. To improve renewable energy accommodation capacity, it has practical significance to establish a robust evaluating approach of renewable energy accommodation capacity. This paper proposed a robust evaluating approach of electrical power system, considering the uncertainties in source side and load side. The flexible adjustment capacity of AGC units is utilized to compensate the risk caused by net power uncertainties. The consideration of load fluctuation and the potential risks associated with net power aims to achieve a balance between operational costs and risk costs. The case study results indicate that utilizing the proposed robust evaluation approach can optimize the renewable energy accommodation capacity in new-type electrical power system, effectively reduce the operational risks and operating costs.
