Inertia Evaluation Strategy for Power System Partition Based on GPU

In order to realize the effective and rapid evaluation of inertia distribution characteristics of power system with new energy, this paper proposes an inertia evaluation strategy for power system partition based on GPU. The characteristics of new energy inertia sources in power system is analyzed. The power system is partitioned according to geographical factors. In the single partition the state-space model is identified by Numerical Algorithm for Subspace State Space System Identification (NASID). In order to meet the demands of power grid analysis and dispatching, accelerated calculation of inertia evaluation is realized by paralleling computing through GPU. Finally, The effectiveness and rapidity of the proposed strategy are verified by a detailed experimental test.
