Comprehensive Economic Evaluation of Energy Storage Projects Based on DEA Model

Abstract
There are many kinds of energy storage technologies with different characteristics. How to integrate the economic value and technical characteristics of different energy storage technologies, and perform multifunctional combination of energy storage projects in different application scenarios such as generation side, grid side and user side, so as to maximize the advantages of hybrid energy storage systems, is an urgent problem to be solved. In order to realize the comprehensive technical and economic evaluation of energy storage projects based on the combined benefits of multi-scenario functions, this paper firstly establishes the technical applicability index system, and uses the combination-empowerment-TOPSIS method to evaluate the applicability and comprehensive applicability of various scenarios for various types of energy storage technologies. Then, combined with the cost and benefit of energy storage technology, the evaluation index system of energy storage project benefit based on function combination is established, and the DEA evaluation model of operational benefit in typical scenarios is established. Finally, several kinds of energy storage and their combinations with high applicability scores were selected as the initial energy storage schemes to evaluate the benefits of different energy storage schemes and realize the comprehensive comparison of different energy storage schemes. Among them, the hybrid energy storage scheme of supercapacitor energy storage and lithium-ion battery has the highest comprehensive efficiency evaluation value, reaching 0.990, and has the best benefits.
