Abstract
The deterritorialization due to the armed conflict in Colombia has been a complex process that leaves physical, psychological, emotional, and social consequences. This study focused on understanding its effect in transforming the dynamics of victim families. For this, a socio-critical paradigm, a qualitative approach, and a descriptive method were followed. During the collection of the voices and experiences of the participants, in-depth semi-structured interviews and solidarity conversations were used, which, before being applied, were reviewed, and evaluated by expert peers. 10 families who were direct victims of the Colombian armed conflict were interviewed and were included considering that it was a non-probabilistic study, with a convenience sample. Critical discourse analysis and conversational analysis were used for data analysis. Mainly identified within the new dynamics, the need to preserve the family union after deterritorialization, a strengthening of the presence and importance of the mother as leader and head of the household, the construction of family objectives and goals that can guarantee in the future stability and, among other things, new understandings, and familiar senses about the value of the territory.
