Abstract
In this current work, pristine Ti O-2, BiV O-4, and Ti O-2/BiV O-4( 1%, 3%, 5%, and 7%) nanocomposites were prepared for the deteriorate of MB dye and tetracycline antibiotic. For synthesis aim, an easy and facile hydrothermal method has been utilized. Several characterization techniques like XRD, SEM, UV-Vis, and PL spectroscopic analysis have been performed to address the structural, morphological, and optical properties of the nanocomposites. It was observed that 5% Ti O-2/BiV O-4 plays a significant role in decreasing the recombination rate of photogenerated electron/hole pairs, subsequently in the reduction of band gap. Interestingly, a nanocomposite of 5% TiO2/BiVO4 demonstrates the excellent deteriorate of Methylene and Tetracycline, with rates of 87% and 72%, respectively within 120 min. To check the stability of the optimized catalyst, recyclability and trapping investigations have been performed. Moreover, the 5% Ti O-2/BiV O(4 )photocatalyst exhibits good stability in five cycles for the degradation of MB dye and Tetracycline and paves a way for manufacturing innovation.
