摘要
Introduction. - The tuberous sclerosis complex is a multisystem, autosomal dominant disorder resulting from mutations in one of two genes, TSC1 or TSC2. Seizures are among the most common manifestations in tuberous sclerosis complex, it is common at a young age. Case presentation. - In this article, we present a case of epileptic seizure during pregnancy revealing Bourneville tuberous sclerosis. This is an uncommon situation during pregnancy, and the initial diagnosis to consider in the presence of a tonic-clonic seizure is usually preeclampsia. The aim of our study was to report this sporadic case of epileptic seizure during pregnancy in order to assist practitioners in considering the diagnosis of Bourneville tuberous sclerosis when encountering convulsions during pregnancy, associated with systemic signs. Conclusion. - Our work enriches the literature by this rare case of tuberous sclerosis of Bourneville discovered during pregnancy and inducing convulsive seizures. (c) 2023 Elsevier Masson SAS.
