摘要
Porous materials have been explored for separating ethylene from ethane through adsorption, rather than cryogenic distillation, which is a significant milestone in molecular separations. This study specifically focused on optimizing the adsorption properties of mordenite by customizing the framework composition. This non-Ag or Cu modification approach offers a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution to enhance ethylene adsorption, while reducing the diffusion and adsorption of ethane. Comprehensive investigations were conducted to determine the different thermodynamic and kinetic properties, demonstrating promising performance in adsorption and separation. These findings provide new possibilities in the separation of light hydrocarbons using zeolite.
