Abstract
In the school context, the Physical Education teacher designs, organizes and conducts his/her pedagogical practice, considering elements such as planning, contents, teaching and evaluation strategies. The objective of the study was to analyze the pedagogical practice of Physical Education teachers from the federal education network, namely the planning and the taughtcontents. Seven Physical Education teachers working in elementary education in the federal education network of the city of Florianopolis (SC) participated. The qualitative research technique Interview, Transcription, Categorization and Interpretation (ETCI) was used to collect and analyze the information. It was found that all teachers plan their teaching (annually), organizing the contents by trimesters, and, for the most part, they do it individually, not discussing it with colleagues from the area or other curricular components, and this document is delivered to the school board at the beginning of the school year. It was verified that the daily planning is accomplished, especially, based on the content selected for the quarter and distributed in a set of school days. Teachers seek to teach content from the six thematic units provided in the BNCC, regardless of their preferences or resistance of students. We conclude that teachers seek to plan the school year based on a diversity of body practices, without the emphasis traditionally seen in Brazilian schools on hegemonic sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, and handball.
