Abstract
This paper reports a non-invasive and high sensitivity microsystem for three-dimensional (3D) imaging of live biological samples. The microsystem’s features are demonstrated here by imaging live 2-cell mouse embryos and simultaneous multichannel imaging of human cells using a single-wavelength excitation. We showcase the adaptability and compatibility of the microsystem, which facilitates the capture of samples within the microsystem for conducting more intricate analyses. Our results show that without compromising the sample’s viability the microsystem achieves over 30 times higher signal-to-noise ratio images than those obtained with scanning confocal microscopy.
