An Iterative Receiving Structure for Polar Coded Serially Concatenated Continuous Phase Modulation

This paper proposes a low-complexity iterative decoding scheme for CRC-Polar code and continuous phase modulation cascaded systems. By simplifying the receiver and utilizing Laurent Decomposition approximation algorithm, a low-complexity general approximation algorithm is derived. Furthermore, an algorithm for parameter selection is developed to achieve a balance between simplified detector structure and good bit error rate performance. An iterative receiving structure is designed, by employing iterative processing of soft information, notable improvements in performance are attained, and the CRC is employed as an early stopping condition to prevent superfluous computations. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in comparison with CRC aided successive cancellation list algorithm.
