Abstract
A solar tracking system tracks the sun's movement in two directions, which is an effective method for enhancing the performance of solar panels. The design and execution of a dual-axis solar tracking system are presented in the report. To follow the sun's movement, the system makes use of an Arduino microcontroller, two servo motors, and light sensors. By contrasting the system's energy output with that of a fixed solar panel, the system's performance was assessed. According to the findings, the solar panel's energy output was enhanced by up to 30 percent using the dual-axis solar tracking system. Solar energy systems will experience considerable cost reductions as a result of this rise in energy production. The system's accuracy was also assessed, and it was discovered to precisely follow the sun's path throughout the day. This study included a number of design factors, such as choosing the right sensors and motors, designing the tracking system mechanically, and microcontroller programming. Dual-axis solar tracking systems' benefits and drawbacks, including their price, complexity, and upkeep needs, are also covered in the research. Overall, the study shows how a dual-axis solar tracking system can enhance the performance of solar panels. The device is a crucial tool for the solar energy sector since it can precisely follow the sun's motion and maximize energy production. In order to increase consumer access to dual-axis solar tracking systems, additional research may be done to improve the design and lower costs.
