摘要
In this study, we are presented a thermodynamics and kinetics model to reveal the corrosion sensitivities of Al/Ti/Fe multi-interface composites. The model demonstrates that impurity elements (Mn) and interface intermetallics alter the electrochemical polarization behavior of the Al and Fe layers, leading to a shift to cathodic control. Additionally, intermetallic compounds, which are formed at the interface enhance wear resistance and modify its electrochemical corrosion behavior. This study provides new insights into the interface corrosion mechanism of multi-interface composites and offers directions to improve the multi-interfaces composites corrosion resistance, which is an important step for future fabrication and applications of multi-interface composites.
