Abstract
In view of the difficulty in locating partial discharge defects caused by human technology and other factors at present, this paper obtains and analyzes the signal waveform collected by the signal collector by building the equipment model of the 330kV gas-insulated fully enclosed switchgear (GIS) substation, and adopts the Teager energy operator (TEO) which combines the variational mode decomposition (VMD) and fault traveling wave decomposition for the partial discharge signal characteristics, By analyzing the first peak point in the energy curve, the distance between the fault point and the monitoring point can be calculated and determined, and the online simulation model of partial discharge and online monitoring and positioning research can be realized. The later calculation shows that the monitoring and positioning method has strong stability, high sensitivity and accurate positioning, and can meet the requirements of online monitoring and positioning of partial discharge in GIS. It lays a foundation for timely finding and handling the irreversible damage caused by equipment insulation defects in practical engineering.
