Abstract
The analytical solutions for the modified shifted Morse potential model have been obtained for some molecules. Despite the importance of this potential in molecular systems, this model hasn’t gained extensive attention. This research delves into predicting thermodynamic functions, specifically examining molar enthalpy, molar heat capacity, and molar Gibbs free energy for nitrogen and iodine molecules using this modified shifted Morse potential. The predicted result aligned with the experimental data, with iodine exhibiting a closer match.
