Investigation and Prediction on Characteristics of Damping Metamaterials Based on Machine Learning

The vibrations caused by traffic loads, machineries, wind loads have become increasingly serious. It is imperative to find new methods for reducing and controlling these vibrations. Thus, in this paper, a damping metamaterial consisted of three components is proposed. The forbidden gap characteristics are investigated in detail. In order to rapidly acquire the features of forbidden, a prediction network model is established based on machine learning. The vibrations can be effectively attenuated in forbidden gap. The prediction network model fits the data well.
