Social participation is associated with the health-seeking behavior to obtain treatment in formal and informal health facilities. However, this association among patients with depression is unknown. Hence, this study was conducted to assess the association between social participation and the use of healthcare facilities by individuals with depression in Indonesia. This study comprised a cross-sectional survey using data from the 2014 Indonesian Family Life Survey. Social participation, the use of healthcare facilities, and sociodemographic information were evaluated using self-reported data. Binary logistic regression was used to determine the association between social participation and the use of healthcare facilities after adjusting for confounders.
