Abstract
Optimizing the management of ischemic cardiovascular risks through timely and comprehensive surgical interventions, as well as effective drug therapy, is crucial for patients with multifocal atherosclerosis This article summarizes the experience of using low-dose buffered acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) in a 62-year-old man with a family history of cardiovascular disease, dyslipidemia, and hypertension The drug was added to the antithrombotic therapy for multifocal atherosclerosis (coronary and lower limb arteries), ischemic heart disease (stable angina pectoris), myocardial infarction, and coronary artery endovascular revascularization, along with a concomitant duodenal ulcer Despite the high risk of ischemia, there were no reported signs of peripheral atherosclerosis progression or new thrombotic cardiovascular or hemorrhagic events during a 10-month course of low-dose buffered ASA. This illustrates the efficacy and safety of the treatment KEYWORDS: multifocal atherosclerosis, antithrombotic therapy, acetylsalicylic acid, buffered, adherence to treatment FOR CITATION: Kashtalap V.V., Sedykh D.Yu.
