Abstract
With the continuous application of gear transmission system in high speed and heavy load conditions, the frequency of tooth root fracture and tooth surface bonding is increasing, so it is particularly important to study how to reduce the unit load of tooth surface. In this paper, based on Romax designer software, the amount of tooth direction trimming, the amount of tooth tip parabola trimming and the starting point of tooth tip parabola trimming were taken as independent variables. Monte Carlo method was adopted and the maximum normal load per unit length of tooth surface was taken as the objective function to obtain the best modifying parameters. The maximum normal load per unit length of pinion right tooth surface before modification, manual tooth profile modification, manual tooth direction modification, manual comprehensive modification and Monte Carlo method modification were compared. The results show that Monte Carlo method is better than manual comprehensive modification, and the effect of single tooth profile or tooth direction modification is the worst.
