Preoperative predictive factors for positive peritoneal cytology results in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas: a retrospective study

The clinical importance of positive peritoneal cytology results in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas remains controversial. We evaluated the prognosis of these patients and the predictive preoperative risk factors for positive peritoneal cytology results. We retrospectively reviewed patients who underwent curative-intent surgery at our institution between May 2010 and June 2020.
