Abstract
The short primary single-sided linear induction motor is affected by its structure and will produce thrust fluctuations caused by end effects. First, based on the electromagnetic field theory, the analytical expression of the air gap magnetic density and electromagnetic thrust of the motor that is fed with three-phase current is deduced, and the air gap magnetic density and electromagnetic thrust characteristics of the motor are analyzed. Then a finite element model of the motor is established, then a finite element model of the motor is established, and relevant parameters such as the air gap magnetic density and electromagnetic thrust of the motor are simulated and calculated. The simulation results are analyzed and compared with the analytical calculation results. The two are highly consistent. The results verify the correctness of the analytical expression of electromagnetic thrust.
