摘要
Childhood trauma is an event that can lead multiple mental or physical illnesses to a child. Some childhood trauma can be prevalent for a short period of time, but some can remain longer by alteration of the brain structure and functions. The regions and results that are affected vary, but this review will mostly focus on the trauma effect as it influences violent behavior. Therefore, the factors that this article will review are amygdala, prefrontal cortex, and striatal dopamine which are known to have significant impacts on violent behavior.
