Abstract
This study employed the B2O3-Al2O3-CaO-SiO2 slag system, characterised by a low melting point, to conduct matte smelting for concentrating antimony in low-grade antimony concentrate. The process effectively eliminated major impurities, particularly quartz. An investigation delved into the reaction mechanism between the additive and the concentrate. A single-factor experiment was conducted to investigate the impact of temperature, SiO2 mass ratio, and basicity on the direct recovery rate of Sb. Optimal conditions were achieved at a temperature of 1050 degrees C, a WSiO2/Wslag ratio of 40:100, and a basicity of 0.5. Under these conditions, the direct retrieval rate of antimony reached 91.16%, with the concentration of antimony in the slag measured at 2.34%. The acquired matte contained 53.27% antimony, further utilised in the mainstream process of antimony metallurgy. This study aimed to address the issue of exorbitant smelting expenses associated with low-grade antimony concentrate. Cette etude a utilise le systeme de scories B2O3-Al2O3-CaO-SiO2, caracterise par un faible point de fusion, pour effectuer une fusion de matte afin de concentrer l'antimoine dans un concentre d'antimoine de faible qualite. Le procede a effectivement elimine les impuretes majeures, en particulier le quartz. L'investigation a porte sur le mecanisme de reaction entre le produit d'addition et le concentre. On a effectue une experience a un seul facteur pour investiguer l'impact de la temperature, du rapport massique de SiO2 et de la basicite sur le taux de recuperation directe du Sb. On a obtenu les conditions optimales a une temperature de 1050 degrees C, un rapport de WSiO2/Wscories de 40:100 et une basicite de 0.5. Dans ces conditions, le taux de recuperation directe de l'antimoine a atteint 91.16%, avec une concentration de l'antimoine dans les scories mesuree a 2.34%. La matte acquise contenait 53.27% d'antimoine, utilise plus loin dans le procede principal de la metallurgie de l'antimoine. Cette etude visait a repondre a la question des depenses exorbitantes de fusion associees au concentre d'antimoine de faible qualite.
