Abstract
Fuzzy Data Envelopment Analysis (FDEA) is a widely used and appropriate approach to evaluate performance in conditions of epistemic uncertainty. Examining it from optimistic and pessimistic perspectives is essential for a comprehensive performance evaluation. Therefore, this study proposes an FDEA model considering optimistic and pessimistic viewpoints. The concept of interval efficiency is defined, and the obtained interval efficiencies are ranked based on their closeness to the ideal interval. The results are compared and analyzed with existing FDEA models at various confidence levels. The efficiency intervals are ranked accordingly. In this research, the credibility measure, possessing the self-duality property, is employed. A comprehensive algorithm for each fuzzy number with any membership function is suggested, determining upper and lower bounds for optimistic and pessimistic modeling in the FDEA model. Consequently, interval efficiency is ranked based on their closeness to the ideal interval at different confidence levels. The proposed model is compared with two literature models through the solution of an example, demonstrating the advantages and superiority of the proposed model. Considering greenness and resilience criteria, the proposed model is applied to evaluate 28 dairy industry suppliers, uniquely ranking them.
