摘要
Bioceramic silicates have several possible applications in dentistry. Outstanding properties of these materials include the capacity to induce tissue regeneration, bioactivity, biocompatibility, and antimicrobial activity. These materials have been effective in promoting the creation of dentinal bridges, sealing root canals, and promoting tissue regeneration. To further enhance their therapeutic potential, recent research has concentrated on developing better formulations, controlled release mechanisms, surface modifications, and combinations with biomolecules. To determine their effectiveness, and ensure their long-term success, substantial research, and clinical assessments are necessary. Using silicate-based materials, advanced manufacturing processes like 3D printing show potential for producing unique scaffolds. Continued research in these areas will contribute to the advancement of regenerative dentistry, and the broader implementation of silicate-based materials in clinical practice. This review discusses different features of silicate bioceramics, manufacturing techniques, and their implementations in therapeutic, and regenerative dental Applications.
