摘要
A protocol for iodine(iii)-mediated oxidative chlorination, bromination and iodination of chromone derivatives has been developed using alkyl halide solvents such as CHCl3, CH2Br2 and CH2I2 as the halogen source. A wide range of chromone derivatives with a variety of functional groups could undergo the halogenation smoothly and furnish the 3-halogenated products with overall moderate to good yields. This halogenation protocol is characterized by mild reaction conditions, excellent regioselectivity, and readily available reagents. Considering the operational simplicity and low cost of this chlorination, bromination and iodination approach, this developed method offers an innovative pathway for the rapid incorporation of halogen functionalities into chromone derivatives and will inspire broader exploration of new halogenation strategies.
