(Custard apple) are widely utilised as a popular dietary supplement in diabetes in many places. The leaves of A. squamosa encompass significant bioactive chemicals that hinder the growth of numerous bacteria, virus and cells and shows early regeneration of dermis and epidermis. The phytochemical studies on A. squamosa leaves showed numerous flavonoids, polyphenols, glycosides, etc. The leaves demonstrated antioxidant, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, antitumour, antimicrobial properties proving their usefulness to treat diabetic wounds. Novel investigations on A. squamosa leaf in the healing process of impaired diabetic wounds can be conducted in order to find a better alternative source to produce newer drugs for diabetic wounds.
