Abstract
The large-scale transmission tower-line system generates significant vibrations when subjected to typhoon loads. Severe vibrations can damage key components of the tower-line system and, in extreme cases, lead to the collapse of the entire tower-line system, which can have a significant impact on the national economy. In this paper, real-time wind speed and direction data of Typhoon "Taili" were obtained through actual measurements. The measured data were incorporated into the dynamic model of a three-tower and two-span tower-line system in the form of random loads. Through simulation analysis, the axial force of the insulator string, the windage displacement of the power line, and the windage displacement and windage angle of the insulator string under the influence of Typhoon "Taili" were determined. The effects of wind speed and temperature on the dynamic response of the tower-line coupled system were finally revealed. The research results can provide theoretical and technical support for the typhoon-resistant design of tower-line systems.
