摘要
Beyond fifth-generation (B5G) has the potential to revolutionize communications by bridging the gap between the physical and virtual worlds. With the integration of extended reality (XR), holography, and multisensorial media, immersive communication methods can transform how we work, entertain, and communicate. Immersive applications come through with huge data rate requirements and stringent latency constraints. This paper tackles specific throughput requirements for enabling XR applications to attend to multiple pedestrian users in a restrained environment, such as museums, exhibitions, and fairs. We propose a multicasting strategy based on fixed pre- computed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multi-beams and subgrouping based on non-orthogonal multiple access (S- NOMA). The presented approach allows us to take advantage of the users' spatial and channel quality diversity, maximizing specific quality of service (QoS) metrics. We assess our proposal through link-level simulations recreating an augmented/virtual reality (AR/VR) multicast delivery use case.
