A USRP-based Outdoor Wireless Channel Sounding System

Wireless channel sounding serves as a crucial process in the research of communication systems. This paper presents a wireless channel sounding system based on the Universal Software Radio Peripheral. The system utilizes PDP to characterize the channel. Additionally, path loss is measured and modeled using the least squares method and the particle swarm optimization algorithm. Compared to traditional channel sounding methods, this system can be used in outdoor long-distance scenarios and dynamic channel.
