Simultaneous Multidimensional Optimization for Fast Amplifier Design

Design of RF amplifier circuits can be a tedious and time-consuming process, often involving numerous iterations of various types of simulations. Instead of using repeated back-and-forth source-pulls, load-pulls, power sweeps, and bias sweeps, we present the ongoing development of a fast optimization method that simultaneously optimizes amplifier design parameters to meet user defined design criteria. Additionally, the optimization considers constraints on the optimization, such as unconditional stability or adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR), while optimizing for qualities such as power added efficiency (PAE) or output power.
