A Dual-port Pattern Reconfigurable Antenna Based on Slot Spoof Surface Plasmon Polaritons

A dual-port pattern reconfigurable antenna based on SSPPs is proposed. The antenna consists of a monopole, a tapered coplanar waveguide, the symmetric slot SSPPs transmission line and two leaf-shaped metal patches. By changing the feeding port to generate the odd mode or even mode of SSPPs, different radiation patterns were realized. The simulated results show that the antenna works on the omnidirectional radiation pattern within 5.59GHz-6.04GHz when port1 is fed. The endfire radiation pattern can be obtained with port2 fed and its operating frequency band is 5.63GHz-6.14GHz.
