This paper presents a compact integrated time domain radiation systems (TDRS) that addresses the challenges of separated design. Integrated design is achieved by designing pulse generator (PG), time domain antenna (TDA) and combiner on the same substrate. A Y-junction is introduced to replace the combiner. It is proved that Y-junction with a greatly reduced size can effectively replace combiners in time domain. The simulated and measured results indicate that the integrated design approach effectively reduces the additional losses associated with separated design. Compared with separated TDRS, integrated TDRS greatly reduces system complexity while increasing the peak-peak value (PPV) of far-field radiation voltage (FRV) by more than 10 %. This work has significant implications for future TDRS design and has broad application potential in time-domain applications, such as Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Through Wall Radar (TWR) and High-peak-power Pulsed Source (HPS).
