A Novel Backprojection Algorithm Based on Aperture Compression for SAR Imaging

摘要
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is an important remote sensing technique and SAR imaging is one of the core steps in SAR data processing. In order to improve the SAR imaging efficiency, a novel backprojection (BP) algorithm based on aperture compression is proposed. The aperture is first compressed based on a well-designed filter in azimuth dimension. Then, the coherent integration operation is employed to accumulate the signal along new aperture. Finally, both simulation and spaceborne SAR data experiments are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed BP algorithm.
