Non-Resonant Partially Reflective Antenna Antenna With a Circularly-polarized Feed

This paper introduces a novel antenna design based on the non-resonant partially reflective surface antenna (NPPRSA), which incorporates a circular-to-circular polarization (CP-to-CP) conversion metasurface and a circularly polarized (CP) feed. This work demonstrates that by employing a non-resonant cavity, a narrow-band CP patch antenna can achieve a significantly wider impedance-matching bandwidth. Simulations validate the excellent radiation performance of the proposed NPPRSA within the designated operating frequency range. The antenna exhibits a peak gain of approximately 22dBi, a 3-dB gain bandwidth spans approximately 6%, and a 3-dB axis-ratio (AR) bandwidth of 10%.
