Optoelectronic Microwave Oscillators: State and Perspectives

The article acquaints readers with developments in the field of optoelectronic microwave oscillators. Without pretending to be complete, the authors describe trends in the development of optoelectronic microwave oscillators based on an optical fiber delay line. Principles of operation and characteristics of different OEOs are considered.
