This study investigates the integration of Internet of Things (IoT)-connected worker solutions with smart wearable technologies with the aim of enhancing efficiency and safety in industrial settings. The emergence of Industry 4.0 has necessitated the imperative to augment worker productivity while concurrently safeguarding their welfare. The proposed methodology utilises Internet of Things (IoT) devices to establish a networked environment, facilitating instantaneous surveillance and correspondence among labourers, equipment, and administrative frameworks. Smart wearable technologies, such as augmented reality (AR) glasses and wearables coupled with sensors, have a significant impact on equipping workers with valuable information, supporting their training, and improving their awareness of their surroundings. The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology with smart wearables enables the utilization of data-driven decision-making processes, predictive maintenance strategies, and the adoption of proactive safety measures. By employing practical illustrations, we present evidence of the favorable effects that these technologies have on the optimization of industrial procedures, the mitigation of downtime, and the enhancement of overall operational efficacy. The results indicate that the adoption of IoT-connected worker solutions and smart wearables has the potential to bring about a fundamental change in the functioning of industrial environments. This can result in the development of a workplace that is not only safer and more productive, but also technologically advanced.
