Abstract
In this paper, a slot antenna array fed by a spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) transmission line is proposed. The transmission line used to feed the slot array has triangular corrugation on both sides. The proposed planar slot antenna array structure exhibits a frequency scanning characteristic. The antenna operates in the frequency range of 6-10 GHz having fractional bandwidth of 50% with a continuous scanning range of 85° with an average gain of 12 dBi. Presented antenna helps to reduce the overall width of the structure and can be a good candidate for reconfigurable antennas as the active circuit biasing will be on the bottom side and will not disturb the antenna pattern.
